Why is it free?

Because a tool that sits over every agent you run has to be one you can read, trust and change. The app is Apache 2.0, and it stays that way.

Will features move behind a paywall later?

No. Everything the app does on your Macs stays free and open source. The cloud will add what needs a server: a shared view for teams, and managing people and their devices.

What will the cloud cost?

Pricing isn’t set yet. People on the waitlist hear first, before anything is announced.

Do I need an account to use Codealong?

No. Download it and it works. There’s no sign-up, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn it on.

What do I pay for today?

Only what you already pay for: your agent subscriptions, and a TypeSafe key if you turn on Jev’s suggestions. Codealong itself costs nothing.
