# Codealong > Codealong is a free, open-source desktop app for macOS and Linux that puts every coding agent you run (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Antigravity and Cursor) in one window, across all your accounts and machines: it shows which ones need you, sends new work to the right agent and account, and lets you answer them from anywhere. - **What it is:** a desktop app that finds every coding-agent session on your machines (Claude Code in a terminal, as background jobs and in the Claude app; Codex's CLI and app; OpenCode; Antigravity; Cursor), on every account you have, and shows them in one window, sorted by what needs you. - **What it does:** sends a new prompt to the agent already on that work, or starts it in a free worktree on the account with room (Auto); answers permission prompts and questions from a floating bar, the MacBook notch, a pinned window or an iPhone; shows each account's usage limits (5-hour, weekly, per model); links your machines peer to peer; joins pull requests to the sessions behind them. - **How it works:** it reads the files each agent already writes. It doesn't wrap, proxy or replace any agent, and needs no account, no API key and no server. It runs git read-only, but for removing a worktree you clean up when nothing in it would be lost. - **Systems:** macOS 13 or later (Apple silicon or Intel), and Linux under X11, built from source for now. Windows isn't supported yet; contributions are welcome. - **Price and license:** free, with every feature, under the Apache 2.0 license. A cloud service for teams is planned; everything the app does on your machines stays free. - **Phone:** Codealong for iPhone links to your machines peer to peer, end to end encrypted. It's early, and installed from source for now. - **Maker:** Gordon L. Hempton.
